Radiant Floor Heating - tekmar Controls
Snowmelting controls are selected to operate either hydronic or electric snowmelting systems. They work in conjunction with tekmar's Automatic Snow and Ice Detector 090. Automatic snowmelt controls can be set to start the snowmelting system at the first signs of snow. Installing a snowmelting system in critical areas such as a building entrance or shared walkway can reduce potential liabilities for building owners.

tekmar Controls are typically used in hydronic (water distributed) heating systems to increase the level of comfort and reliability. You will often find tekmar controls in buildings that have in-floor heating installed. The addition of control for domestic hot water, forced air heating, ventilation and cooling provides for an all-inclusive system. Contractors select integrated components that range from thermostats and sensors to outdoor reset controls and automatic snow & ice detectors; depending on the individual system design.
The overall operation of a heating, ventilation and cooling system can be optimized by a tekmar Outdoor Reset Control. Outdoor Reset Controls include Energy Saving features that provide a return on investment with lower heating bills, while reducing impact on the environment. These controls specialize in operating the system at maximum efficiency while maintaining priority for other devices when needed. The type of outdoor reset control selected by a contractor will depend on the overall system design.
tekmar Thermostats are available in both non-programmable and programmable types. Many offer a display-screen user interface with button operated menus. In tekmarNet®4 systems, thermostats can share outdoor temperature, system status and scheduling information with each other.
Various tekmar sensors are used to measure indoor, outdoor, in-floor, in-slab, piping, duct and domestic hot water temperatures. They are a critical component in a tekmar system, providing real-time temperature status so that controls and thermostats can optimize system operation as a whole.
